Marking Research Analyst

A start up nonprofit focused in the recovery, lifestyle, addiction, self-help field is looking to hire a market research specialist who is familiar with these fields. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills who loves working with data and is passionate about developing research-driven insights for clients. Must pay great attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and priorities, take initiative, and work well both independently and in a group setting.


 


Essential Job Functions:


 


Gathers, examines and analyzes data:



  • To forecast future trends.

  • On competitors and analyzes prices, sales strategies, technological advancements and methods of marketing and distribution

  • On customers, prepares profiles that include preferences, buying habits, expansion plans etc.

  • On industry trends Update and maintain resource library (Customer, Competitor, Industry Trends) and prepare update to share with organization.


Prepares reports and graphic illustrations of findings. Become “librarian” of information resources - identify, summarize and distribute relevant articles and publications to internal teams.


Maintain and update Master prospect list Provide research support for marketing campaigns.


SKILLS REQUIRED:


Market Research: You have experience in working with primary and secondary research methods (both quantitative and qualitative), with direct involvement in assisting in the execution of:


• Web surveys


• Competitive analysis


• Data analysis


Temperament: You are driven, highly motivated and accomplishment-oriented. Getting things done and moving on to the next task will be your signature quality. Because you will be juggling multiple tasks, your organizational habits and decision-making abilities will be finely honed. • Organization: Must be capable of administering multiple tasks concurrently and staying on top of project deadlines and deliverables. In charge of managing research costs and timelines for individual projects.


Writing ability: A creative problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You have competent writing skills, with an ability to create clear, well organized documents and presentations for internal use.


Internet skills: You are proficient in using the Internet as a research tool. At a minimum, you will have solid experience with email systems, Web browsers, search engines, Web navigation, eCommerce and other business uses of web technology.


Computer tools: At a minimum, you have a working knowledge of the following types of tools:  Windows XP, etc.


 Word processors (e.g. MS Word)


 Presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint


 Spreadsheet (e.g. Excel)
