Part Time Activities Coordinator
We are a busy Counseling and Treatment Center looking for someone with high energy and motivation to work with our Extended Care clientele. The Activities Coordinator will manage and assist in planning, organizing, directing and implementing various activities; designed to meet physical,and emotional needs. This is a part time position 30 hours per week, $10/hr., no benefits. Potential to become full time.
Essential Job Functions:
- Participates in the development of master treatment planning and updates
- Develops, coordinates and conducts quality activities
- Provides a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients
- Responsible for coordination of special events and guest speakers
- Ability to document all relative information into Therapynotes system
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mental Health/ Addiction Counseling or other related field; or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with at risk/difficult/resistant clients is preferred
- Bilingual is a plus
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and/or addiction
Requirements:
- Ability to multi-task is a must
- MUST be energetic/outgoing and able to lead a group on a daily basis
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Valid drivers license and vehicle required
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with staff and clientele
- Preforms other administration functions as needed
- Must be able to work evening and weekend hours once a month
- Comfortable participating in groups where clients are dealing with addiction past
